Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

Do you remember the first poem you read that left you feeling, “Yes, that’s exactly it!”? Or, how about the first poem you wrote that left you with that same feeling? A picture is worth a thousand words, but what if all we have to create that image is a few words – how do poems create entire worlds in our mind with just a few lines on a page? Learn how to identify your poetic strengths to create imagery that is both clear and nuanced, and to increase the depth and breadth of the emotional and intellectual heft of your poems. Push your writing further to create images that express ideas that resonate emotionally, viscerally, and intellectually with readers.  Join award-winning poet, Laisha Rosnau, in this intensive three-hour workshop. If you have drafts of poems you’d like to work on, please bring one to three previously written poems. Or, bring yourself, a pen, notebook, and an open, hungry mind.

If you have any questions about upcoming festivals and workshops please send them my way.
